Placenta Encapsulation
Placenta encapsulation is a sacred and natural way to support your postpartum healing journey. The placenta is steamed, dehydrated, grounded, and placed into capsules for daily use, offering a gentle way to nourish your body after birth.
Possible benefits may include:
Increased energy and reduced fatigue
Balanced mood and emotional well-being
Support in milk production
Replenishment of iron and essential nutrients
Shortened postpartum recovery time
While everybody is unique and results vary, many families have found encapsulation to be a supportive addition to their postpartum care.
What to expect:
Each placenta yields an average of 80–200 capsules, depending on size.
Capsules are prepared within a safe and sanitized process to ensure the highest standard of care.
I am trained and certified through the International Placenta & Postpartum Association (IPPA) and follow strict health and safety guidelines, including the use of food-grade equipment, sanitizing practices, and universal precautions.
Logistics:
I will coordinate with you to pick up your placenta from your birth location within 24 hours after delivery. The encapsulation process typically takes 2–3 days. Once complete, I will return your capsules directly to your home.
Investment:
$250 for current doula clients
$300 for Rhode Island families
